Ka Lae Coffee in Island of Hawaii

Greatest coffee spot in the state! Really really nice place, it’s farm like with flowers everywhere, reminds me of the farms of California with the tropical plants of Hawaii, fresh breeze in the morning, really a peaceful place. Great tasting lattes.

Amazing coffee! Amazing stuff! Beautiful handmade art and things to buy. Vegan and gluten-free food items (I'm allergic to gluten so this is a big plus for me!) We are going out of our way to go back again!

Stopped into this hidden gem of a cafe on the way up to Kona from South Point. It was so aesthetically beautiful with their seating, succulents and farmhouse feel. My hubby and I were just planning to grab a coffee (which had been the best brewed coffee of our trip) but ended up staying as it was really quite inviting.

One of the best coffees I’ve ever had!! I ordered an ice latte and added vanilla flavoring. The lady behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful. The restroom was clean and it’s a super cute environment to be in while you enjoy your coffee, snack, juice or just want to look around.

We stopped and had a bulletproof coffee, it was astounding! Might be the most amazing coffee I have ever had. The seating areas superb as well, huge Koa slab tables, and also Ohia framed patio as well.Destination next trip for sure!

A gem of a place just off the road to South Point. Probably one of the BEST decaf Americanos we’ve ever had! Also super excited to find gluten free peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies! Nice and large and super yummy!The grounds are beautiful and the covered out building is filled with some really funky and cool furniture - would make a great live music venue! Indoor and outdoor seating. Also a greenhouse to buy plants. Other locally made items to purchase as well as sandwiches. Friendly service but the bathroom was out of order when we were there.

Love that we found the place on our way to South Point. Got the Mocha Hana Frappe and it was awesome. They have a small gift shop where you can get local honey and soap. The outdoor seating area is also very pleasant. The barista is super sweet as well.

Beautiful spot to sit down and relax. Tons of flowers to see/buy. Little shop of island merch, soaps, honey, etc. Espresso brownie was tasty and a decent selection of brews (tea, coffee). Great stop on the way to Volcano or Hilo!

We stopped here ever morning when we stayed down the road. Excellent coffee and the atmosphere is spectacular!

This is a beautiful place to grab a really great coffee and bite to eat. Very friendly staff, lots of aloha down here. Would highly recommend stopping in if you are in the South Point area! I ordered the coffee that they use from Navarro Farm and had it shipped back home to the mainland - it is worth every penny for that smooth, dark, American Roast!

A great stop on your way to or from the Southernmost Point. The cafe has a variety of delicious drinks, including their detoxifying charcoal latte. Enjoy your drink while you relax and sit or wander through their orchid greenhouse.

If i could give more stars, I would. The atmosphere is beyond amazing! The baristas are knowledgeable and seem to love their job! Get your drink and walk through the amazing property viewing the most amazing flowers. A great start to any day on the Island!

We came for coffee. We got coffee and sandwiches and a brownie and a blueberry muffin. Food and coffee was awesome. The atmosphere was tranquil "what a hidden gem"!

Well, they didn't have pastries, just cookies that were way too sweet. Not something you want to eat first thing in the morning. The latte was good though!

Such a cute little spot with a small playground and swings. Perfect place for a play dates. They have great coffees and smoothies, so stuff for everyone to enjoy.

Really really good iced coffee and hibiscus lime tea. My boyfriend and I were both surprised by how tasty they both were. Seriously. Starbucks ain't got nothing over this place! Not to mention all of the beautiful orchids to see and smell(: They also have a couch and tables for the fellow study bugs or worker bees(;

This is a delightful little place to stop at on your way to or from South Point. The store is actually about 1,000 ft up the driveway, so you'll obviously be unable to see it from the road. Everyone in my group that had a coffee item were very happy with their choices, and the food items were good as well. Pricing is also very reasonable, especially for the big island. Outdoor covered seating is available.

Coffee was great.They only have a single chemical restroom outside with no where to wash your hands.

What a wonderful outdoor patio, repleat with flowers and colorful birds, to have a GREAT cappuccino. Delicious pastries, amazing orchid nursery.

I had the Hawaiian French toast. It was totally worth it. Say what you will but egg bread dipped in custard with coconut and macadamia nuts is not overkill.

One of the few places to enjoy a hot coffee in the Naalehu - Southpoint area. I highly recommend it.

Likely the best coffee on the island in a stunning setting. Great stop on the way to or from South Point, or a short detour off the highway if you're just passing through the area.

Love stopping at this place. The people are amazing and the coffee is good and so are the organic smoothies! The greenhouse filled with many varieties of orchids and the sitting areas are so nice and relaxing. Every time we make our way through that part of town we stop in.

This place has a great many orchids to purchase and look at. Nice coffee shop that sells sandwiches,sweets, and some local honeys and lotions. The landscaping around the place is gorgeous! So many wonderful displays of succulants and tropicals. The person working there was very helpful and informative. All around pleasant visit.

STOP! I'm serious. It's worth it. Such a great place to relax and sip coffee.

My wife and I stopped in here after visiting South point and were blown away not only by the coffee but by the atmosphere. It was very peaceful and we had it all to ourselves. Not only that it was a perfect indoor outdoor combination. Stop by this place if you're visiting South point!

Wonderful cafe with a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the Garde around is relaxing. There is a small playground for kids and lots of flowers. Paradise to relax with a nice coffee, latte, tea or whatever.

Lovely coffee, cookies, and conversation. We did not try other items but everything looked nice. The orchids and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Absolutely worth a stop.
